Meme The Rescue Cat

We had been looking for a cat for quite a while but none seemed exactly right until we saw Meme on the Internet advertised by Jenny from Franklin Cat Rescue  and went out to see her.   She was just exactly right and came home with us.   We had been told she was timid and she spent the first night under the bed hiding from us but ventured out at night and took a look around and discovered her litter box and water but didn't eat any of the food.   Her history had made her scared and timid so we figured she needed time to adjust and get used to us and her new surroundings so we let her do her own thing and just spoke to her and made reassuring noises and she seemed to really enjoy chatting and in a couple of days we were surprised to see she started mewing and chatting back.   A friend could hardly wait to see her and asked for a photo but Meme was hiding  right at the back in the middle of a queen size bed so I took a photo of a large black square under ...

Meme climbed high up in this tree outside the bedroom window, way beyond the thick branches after birds.   She was so concentrated on the birds (who flew off ) she got right out on the skinny branches and turned round to us inside watching her  ......ye gods, it's them!  written all over her face :)

another under the bed photo :)   I am allowed close enough to give her gentle pats and strokes and she is purring and seems to be enjoying it.  We now get greeted with Meows and human to cat sounds 

Shheeeyeeeks,, what is happening ?

Fruit box from  out of the shed and a new woolly blanket from the Charity shop and voila, Meme has found a new hangout -  we are amazed that she comes out to sit in her box in the lounge which is in full view and she comes in every night and sleeps in it until bed time for us when she comes to sleep in our room on her cushion under the bed.   Got this blue crocheted throw for $2 and she hopped on it straight away and uses it every day now.
